Arillo Campaccio Toscana Rosso 2021

Type: Red
Country: Italy
Region: Tuscany
Grape Variety: Sangiovese, Sauvignon, Merlot
Viticulture: Managed using a biologic/smart-organic approach focusing on nature-first sustainability; 2021 saw a canonical bud break followed by a cold spring and regular summer without extreme heat peaks.

Climate: The microclimate is influenced by both the high altitudes of Chianti (ventilation) and the proximity to the sea in Maremma (temperature fluctuations).
Terroir: Soils range from stony and clay-loam rich in minerals (iron and magnesium) in Maremma to the signature whitish soils of Radda.
Aging: Aged for 12 months in French and American oak barriques, followed by a further 12 months of bottle aging.

Color: Intense ruby red or a bright ruby-purple hue.
Nose: Prominent aromas of cherry and plum integrated with notes of licorice, pepper, and spices, often showing subtle roasted flavours from the oak.
Palate: Smooth, wide, and persistent with velvety tannins and dominant acidity that provides a long, balanced finish.
