Villa Estuaire is produced by Maison Louis Vialard, a Bordeaux wine merchant house based in the prestigious wine town of Pauillac in the Médoc region of France. The company traces its roots back to founder Louis Vialard, who was also the owner of Château Cissac, a respected Cru Bourgeois estate in Haut-Médoc.
The history of Maison Louis Vialard began in 1951 when Louis Vialard moved to London to introduce Bordeaux wines to the English market — a pioneering move at the time. His success in exporting fine Bordeaux wines eventually led to the creation of the Louis Vialard négociant company in 1969, specializing in sourcing and distributing wines from prestigious Bordeaux terroirs around the world.
The Villa Estuaire label was created as a tribute to Louis Vialard and reflects the historic merchant spirit of Pauillac, a town closely linked to maritime wine trade along the Gironde estuary. The winery philosophy emphasizes classic Bordeaux craftsmanship, small-production wines, and respect for traditional Médoc winemaking methods.
Villa Estuaire’s Pauillac vineyard is very small — approximately 1.4 hectares — planted mainly with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot on gravel-and-clay soils near famous classified growth estates such as Château Latour and Château Pichon Baron. The wines are hand-harvested, fermented with native yeasts, and aged in French oak barrels to preserve the elegant, structured Pauillac style.
