Winemaking: Modern mechanical harvesting machines allow us to sort our handpicked berries according to size. These berries are then separated from the stalk, and the skin is broken. Maceration then takes place before it is fermented partly in oak barriques and stainless steel tanks
Color: Dark ruby red
Nose: Hints of sour cherry and fine spicy aromas
Palate: Wonderful harmony of berries, fine acidity, and residual sweetness
About the Winery:
The boutique vineyard Albert Glas is settled in the best sites of the southern Palatinate, where third-generation winemaker Dominik Glas creates “joyful pleasures to drink down to the last sip”.
Established in 1958 with just 2.5 hectares of vineyards, Weingut Albert Gras is one with a young, innovative mindset, whilst always striving to remain in close harmony with nature. They practise high reduction in yield and encourage biodiversity in their vineyards for optimal grape production. Today, the winery has expanded to approximately 20 hectares of vineyards that are bustling with life!
