About the Winery:
Located in the village of Crezancy-en-Sancerre, Domaine Sautereau is a premier family estate led by David Sautereau, marking the tenth generation of a winemaking lineage dating back to 1683.
The estate manages 22 hectares of vineyards across the Sancerre appellation, characterized by a complex “mosaic” of four distinct soil types: pebble-limestone (Caillottes), fossil-rich clay-limestone (Terres Blanches), Kimmeridgian marls, and iron-based clay (Terres Rouges). This geological diversity allows the winery to craft highly nuanced wines that balance structural power with aromatic elegance.
