Climate: Moderate cool climate – hills located at the foot of the Alps
Terroir: Vineyard faces east, south, west, with an altitude 300 – 450m ASL. The soil profile is of clayey loam, fertile and of medium depth
Ageing: Manual harvesting in late September, soft pressing in an inert environment, static decantation of the must, fermentation at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, 10% aged in oak barrels, ageing on the lees for approximately 4/5 months before bottling
Color: Pale yellow with hints of green
Nose: Intense, sweet bouquet reminiscent of elderberry, peach and ripe fruit
Palate: Rich and full-bodied on the palate with a savoury mineral taste and a splendid finish of ripe fruits
About the Winery:
Cantina Lavis is an historical winery located at the heart of the Trentino subregion. Founded in 1850 by the Cembran family, it has been a cooperative since 1948.
It is a collective heritage of winemaking that unites over 800 growers over 800 hectare of vineyards with soil rich in minerals on hill located at the foot of the Alps with moderate cool climate.
Wine is made by traditional cultivation methods and hand harvesting with pioneering Quality and Zoning project with the enhanced importance of “the right vine in the right place” of both traditional and international grape varieties.
