About the Winery:
Bela is a winery, a single vineyard, and a homage to its founders. This puts it in a unique position for producing and ageing some of Ribera del Duero’s most outstanding wines.
Bela was born in 2019 in Villalba del Duero, Burgos. It is home to a cutting-edge wine cellar built in wood, metal and glass, and 82 hectares of vineyards, for the most part, grown on trellises.
This winery is a homage to the ancestors of the CVNE family. The winery was named in honour of Sofia, daughter of Eusebio Real de Asúa, co-founder of the winery in 1879, and in turn great-grandmother of the current managers. She was known in family circles as Bela. The three stars you see on their wine labels stand for Bela and her brothers, Áurea and Ramón.
