In 2016 Vittorio Zoppi and Filippo Antonelli founded Antica Torino to produce aromatized wines and liqueurs meaningful to the territory of Piedmont. Their last creation is the Vermouth di Torino Dry which rediscovers the tradition of some old manufacturers in Torino of macerating the ingredients in alcohol, then distilling part of the maceration to give longevity and elegance to the final product.

Their recipe for the Dry Vermouth di Torino goes back to the 50s when the heart of the economy of Turin was beating because of the aromatized wines industry. The ingredients wormwood, muscat yarrow, sage, thistle and hyssop contribute to an explosion of flowery and herbal notes, with a hint of spices.

About the Brewery:
Antica Torino is the brainchild and longtime passion project of Liguria-based wine & spirits huntsman, Vittorio Zoppi, and Umbrian winemaker Filippo Antonelli. Vito’s love for Italian spirits began as it does for many in Italy—as a child surrounded by the time-honoured traditions and legacies of regional drinking culture. By sampling and studying a wide variety of vermouth and digestifs from around the world, Antica Torino has endeavoured to create refined recipes inspired by the traditions of Torino and enlivened by the Piedmontese spirit.

After formulating their flagship Rosso Vermouth, the team turned their attention to (re)creating an increasing collection of heritage spirits, using ingredients from both Piedmont and around the world, coupled with painstaking research and a love affair with the drinking traditions of Italy.
