About the Winery:
For generations, Ewald Gruber has been managing vineyards in the heart of the wine-growing area. Ewald Gruber discovered his love for wines at an early age and in 1972, he took over his father’s vineyards comprising 7 hectares of land.
“My innovation together with the structure of a family business meant that a new door opened in 2006: together with the wine expert Josef M. Schuster, we manage and market the “Schloss Maissau” vineyard”, Ewald Gruber Senior.
Ewald Gruber strives for sensation, especially with their Grüner Veltliner. Their wines will win you over with their natural potency and clarity that is typical of wines from this area. Continuous salon nominations, yearly Falstaff Awards and good reviews in specialist magazines all attest to their philosophy.
The pursuit of quality without compromise, courage to try new things, enthusiasm and passion for wine together have turned the winery into something truly special.
