About the Winery:
Karl Fritsch is a doer and a quality fanatic. He himself is more in the background and can usually be found with the vines and the wines in the cellar. For him, it is a vocation to produce wines full of character. He sees an obligation towards future generations and acts as gently and sustainably as possible at every step of the process.

The Weinberghof of the Fritsch family has been the driving force for quality in the Wagram region for decades. Karl’s father always believed in the potential of Grüner Veltliner as a high-class variety and launched the first initiative for wine of quality in 1989 while simultaneously making Fritsch the epitome of wine from the Wagram.

Karl Fritsch embraces biodynamic cultivation and respect for nature, and his unique style is reflected thoroughly in his wine. The Fritsch wines are straightforward, crisp and elegant with a down-to-earth character which reflects not only the terroir of the Wagram, but also the personality of their creator.
