About the Winery:
Rudi Rabl prides himself on the traditional history of his family winery, which dates back to 1750. Originally run as a mixed farm, the family business has now developed into a winery covering 80 hectares and cultivating vineyards in the best Kamptaler Rieden (sites). With Johanna and Tobias, the next generation is already training to be winemakers and oenologists. The love for nature and the grapes, the ecological vineyard work with herbal plants, as well as the knowledge of professional processing, ensure excellent quality of the different wine varieties. In the cellar, modernity is combined with traditional values.

Ecology is an important factor, which is why the winery has been “Sustainable Austria” certified since 2015. One of the most important awards in recent years was undoubtedly the title of “White Wine Maker of the Year 2019” at the IWSC in London, a title that Rudi Rabl was also able to achieve in 2021. Other successes include the two Decanter Trophies “Winner Grüner Veltliner Dechant Alte Reben” and “Winner Riesling Ried Steinhaus Rote Erde”, as well as the 2017 regional victories in the Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc categories. The winery is also continuously represented with its wines in the “SALON Österreich Wein”. And ultimately, the winery was awarded “Winery of the Year – Langenlois Champion” in the Kamptal.
