Terroir: The fruit was grown on Napoleone Vineyard blocks 4 (north-east facing), 11D and 11E (south-west facing) as always. These vines were planted in 1987 and 1991 to I10V1
Winemaking: Half of the wine went through malolactic conversion

Nose: The nose shows citrus, vanilla and white flowers
Palate: The palate has lemongrass and ginger, linearity and a touch of class, which manifests itself in a slight waxiness and the restraint of the fruit character
About the Winery:
Punt Road is owned by the Napoleone family, 3rd-generation fruit growers in the Yarra Valley. Their vineyard in Coldstream is one of the most historic sites in Victoria, first planted to vines by Swiss immigrant Hubert De Castella in 1860. The Napoleone Vineyard was established on the property in 1987.
Tim Shand, chief winemaker since ’14, established a reputation for the consistent quality of all the Punt Road wines. Jarrod Johnson takes over the winemaking reins from the ’23 vintage. The two main ranges are Punt Road and Airlie Bank, plus a small production of single-vineyard ‘Block’ wines, only available at the cellar door and made only in the best vintages.
